Susi (Anny Ondra) whirls through Berlin in the 1920s as the personification of the zeitgeist. Susi breaks out of the conservative confines of her Prussian parental home to conquer the world as a jazz musician. On the way there, she is helped by a comic coincidence, which does not have to be asked for long in such a comedy material. How this is supposed to work, she rightly does not know exactly herself. With saxophone and a good dose of chutzpah, she wonderfully turns the conservative morals of her surroundings upside down as a rebel of rhythm.
KATHARINA STASHIK (saxophone) and DOROTHEE HADDENBRUCH (piano) met while studying at the Cologne University of Music, where they founded their DUO M-CINE in 2002 and developed their style, which combines classical musical craft with improvisation
