The Music of Arcane
Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra - Heinz Hall
Program Info: Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Andrew Kierszenbaum, Pianist · Arcane series composer
The musical world of video games—and the television adaptations built from them—grows bigger every day. Arcane is one of those rare shows that has set a new standard for music, animation, and storytelling, and for what it means to take characters from a massively popular video game (in Arcane’s case, League of Legends) and give them life, personality, and incredible depth.
The Music of Arcane is my love letter to the series and to the world its art, story, and music bring to life. As both one of the show’s composers and a classical pianist, I hope to tell that story at the piano with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra—through my original arrangements of the show’s soundtrack.
Arcane and Riot Games have built a devoted fanbase of gamers and non-gamers alike. As one of those fans—and a player myself—I want to continue the legacy of Arcane by offering a new way to engage with the show I love: experiencing the music our team of composers worked so passionately to create, in the beauty of a concert hall.
