On Saturday, August 29 "Viva la Musica" will be performed in the village church of Gellmersdorf with the Brandenburg Concert Orchestra Eberswalde and its vocal soloist Brendan Sliger.
The program, under the musical direction of Jens Georg Bachmann, is a diverse compilation of classic evergreens such as Johannes Brahms' "Hungarian Dance No. 5" and Amilcare Ponchielli's "Dance of the Hours", film music classics such as Friedrich Schröder's "You Must Be Able to Play the Piano" and "As Time Goes By" from "Casablanca", as well as modern catchy tunes such as Michael Jackson's "Thriller" or "Penny Lane" by the Beatles.
