Away from busy roads and located in beautiful nature, the Reichenfels castle ruins in Hohenleuben are a popular destination in the Vogtland. Surrounded by forests and hiking trails, it houses the local history and nature museum as well as a wedding and event hotel and becomes an atmospherically lit open-air concert hall once a year. Every year at the end of August, the Vogtland Philharmonic Orchestra transforms the inner courtyard, which is surrounded by remains of medieval walls, into a modern open-air area with a large stage and over 1,000 seats. Top-class soloists, highlights from classical, film, rock & pop and catering from regional partners offer an emotional and enjoyable concert evening to an audience that transcends genres and generations.
