04 July 2026 Ostróda (Poland)
10th Arena Festival film & music: Valhalla - Symphony of the North
Orchestra - Amphitheater
Program Info: On Saturday, July 4th, the Ostróda Ampitheater will be filled with the raw energy of the ancient North. The second instalment of the Arena Film & Music Festival is a return to the roots of Warmia and Mazury – a land shaped centuries ago by the influence of the valiant Prussians, the sedentary Slavs, and the rebellious Vikings. We have prepared an event that blurs the line between contemporary pop culture and authentic archaeological evidence.
The heart of the festival will be music, which accompanies us daily in cinemas and on screens, but only in a symphonic setting does it reveal its true scale. This is a proposition for those who seek emotion in history, and in music – stories of honour, military clashes, and the spirits of ancestors. Symphonic Strike: From the TV Series "Vikings" to "Stara Baśń"
Some soundtracks can transport the listener back in time faster than any machine. On stage, we'll combine the power of a symphony orchestra with the primal sound of an ethnic ensemble and choir. The pieces we've selected are the quintessence of the historical fiction genre—compositions that capture the atmosphere of the most popular productions of recent years.
The evening's program is a cross-section of the diverse facets of ancient Europe. You'll hear the mesmerising, guttural themes from the TV series "Vikings," which have become a symbol of Nordic strength, and the mystical, Slavic-fearing sounds of "Stara Baśń." Gaming fans will certainly be thrilled by the monumental soundtrack from "Assassin's Creed Valhalla."
Special Guest – Krzesimir Dębski. His presence is not just a name on the poster, but above all a unique compositional sensibility that unites the film's grandeur with the historical truth hidden in the sounds.
