Eric Vloeimans Oliver's Cinema
Eric Vloeimans & band - Musicians Paradise

Program Info:
Trumpeter Eric Vloeimans belongs to the top of the international music world. He possesses a "brilliant tone that has only become more versatile over the years" (De Volkskrant). Characteristic is his agile trumpet sound and the alternation of pronounced lyrical playing with playful, occasionally fiery outbursts. He has won many awards, including the Boy Edgar Prize, four Edisons and a Bird Award.

Although Eric can easily fill halls with his project Fugimundi or the band Gatecrash, he is constantly venturing into new projects. Oliver's Cinema, an anagram of his own name, is a collaboration with cellist Jörg Brinkmann and accordionist Tuur Floorizone, whose melancholic sound has already been described as the Belgian Yann Tiersen. He taught Eric to love the sound of the accordion.

In 2013 the debut album was released. Each band member brought compositions: L'Amour Des Moules by Florizoone, Fellini's Waltz by Brinkmann, Vloeimans' music from the film Majesteit, and theme music from the films Rosemary's Baby and Cinema Paradiso. Recently the album ACT 2 was released. This one is also full of beautiful cinematic music. And with a special version of Nino Rota's Romeo & Juliet.

Accordionist Tuur Florizoone is broadly oriented: he worked for four years on the music of the TV program Man bijt Hond and performs all over the world with a variety of musicians and ensembles, such as trio Tricycle. He garnered international success with the soundtrack of the film Collision in Moscow by Christophe Van Rompaey.

Jörg Brinkmann expands the playing possibilities for the cello in his own unique way. He is able to make the most complicated rhythmic and harmonic structures sound groovy and simple. He strives to play the cello in previously 'cello-free' parts of the music world. Brinkmann plays in the Starvinsky Orkestar, Lavalu and Sikeda, among others.
