Festival du Cinéma et Musique de Film de la Baule: Bruno Coulais: From Microsmos to Choristers

Program Info: This year, the Film and Film Music Festival pays tribute to the great composer Bruno Coulais.
Over the course of his career, Bruno Coulais has established himself as a singular voice, developing an immediately recognizable sound universe, where poetry, evocative power and musical audacity are mixed.
He has won several awards, including three César Awards for Best Original Score for Microcosmos: The People of the Grass, Himalaya: The Childhood of a Chef and The Chorus, which also earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song.
A prolific composer, he has written more than 200 film scores, including Adultery (instructions for use), The Crimson Rivers, Vidocq, The Migratory People, Secret Agents, Brice de Nice, MR 73, Coraline, Oceans, Farewell My Queen, On the Trail of the Marsupilami and Maigret.
This unique concert will allow us to rediscover the emotion and power of these scores which, for 50 years, have accompanied the imagination of cinema and participated in writing its memory.
The concert will be preceded by the festival's awards ceremony in the presence of all the invited talents.
