A special experience awaits the audience on Friday, May 8: THE ADVENTURES OF PRINCE ACHMED, the first surviving feature-length animated film in film history, can be experienced anew in an extraordinary live soundtrack with the original music.
The result is an impressive interplay of early animation art and contemporary interpretation – and thus pays tribute to the pioneer of the animation classic Lotte Reiniger and her style-defining animation technique. The event, in cooperation with SWR, impressively shows how lively film history can be – and how music expands the narration of images in a special way. Moderation: Annegret Richter
