"The Godfather" with a symphony orchestra

This evening, the Svetlanov Hall of the Moscow Music House will be filled with the breath of a legend. On one stage there are more than 100 musicians of the symphony orchestra, a grandiose sound stream that can make hearts beat in unison with eternity.
Musical masterpieces from the trilogy "The Godfather" will sound in their original version - the piercing music of the genius Nino Rota will come to life in the performance of the Kremlin Brass Band under the direction of the Honored Artist of Russia Igor Shevernev.
On the huge screen there are iconic scenes from the film "The Godfather" directed by Francis Ford Coppola, and in the hall there is a pulsating energy of live sound: disturbing chords, velvet melodies, fatal passion, premonition of fate.
Nino Rota's music is like a confession of the era: noble and tragic, tender and implacable. And when the strings rise like a wave, when the brass ones shine with fire, and the percussion ones thunder like shots in the silence of the night, the hall will freeze, embraced by the magic of great art.
A whirlwind of passionate tango will suddenly burst into the space of the hall, and the brilliant guests from Monaco, Elena and Fabrizio D'Agostino, will swirl right among the audience. Their dance will become a living embodiment of Italian passion - delicate, dangerous, dazzlingly beautiful.
Even before the start of the concert, the audience, thanks to the special atmosphere, will be transported to America of the 40s: musicians in gangster hats, with saxophones, trumpets and trombones will enter the hall, erasing the boundaries between the stage and the audience. You will find yourself inside history - among its characters, its music, its fate.
At the end of the evening, five compositions will be performed - five precious pearls of Nino Rota from the films of the great Federico Fellini: "Nights of Cabiria", "La Dolce Vita", "Eight and a Half", "The Road". And as a culmination - one of the most beautiful vocal declarations of love from the film "Romeo and Juliet" performed by the author of the project, lyrical-dramatic soprano Vera Kononova.
This evening promises a meeting with music that is stronger than time – with a story that sounds and never stops.
