This lively program brings together great American composers, beloved patriotic favorites, and a few unexpected gems, all designed to spark a sense of pride and celebration. The MIM Orchestra will perform a whimsical, jazz-inflected piece by John Williams from the movie Catch Me if You Can, show case the dazzling virtuosity of vibraphonist Michael Downing and saxophonist Jonathan Hulting-Cohen, and present the world premiere of a new work by local composer Jerry Grant.
