A lively and playful comedy, The Matrimaniac follows a couple determined to get married at all costs, launched into a frantic race where each step seems to create a new obstacle. Douglas Fairbanks plays a young man overflowing with enthusiasm, ready to deploy limitless inventiveness to get around the setbacks that accumulate on his way. The film gleefully exploits the mechanics of delay, setback, and chase, providing Fairbanks with the perfect terrain to express his physical agility and visual gag sense.
