For the closing of the Festival, 1001 Notes offers a great concert under the sign of sharing, joy and emotion. The singer Mariam , an emblematic figure of the Bamako scene, makes her warm and luminous voice heard. At his side, the master of the balafon Lansiné Kouyaté , heir to a great line of griots, and the multi-instrumentalist Patrick Bebey , between tradition and modernity. They are surrounded by the Trans Cover Express , the 1001 Notes Orchestra and the choir, under the direction of Chloé Meyzie .
The programme revisits the repertoire of Amadou & Mariam, mixed with great African songs and reinvented classical works, from Ravel to Bach, with African colours, without forgetting Pata Pata , Soul Makossa or Folon .
