Film legend Hans Zimmer and Sir Elton John The Oscar-winning soundtrack by film music legend Hans Zimmer has been shaping the globally successful animated film "The Lion King" for 27 years now: African rhythms and sounds paired with monumental, epic melodies. Sir Elton John's poignant hits such as "Hakuna Matata", "Circle of Life" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" are timeless and composed for eternity.
Together, the magical music of Sir Elton John and Hans Zimmer is a unique concert experience that touches and inspires all age groups equally! Hardly any other film soundtrack connects entire generations with so many personal emotions and memories as with Disney's "The Lion King". The story of the lion cub Simba, who sets out in search of his place in the eternal cycle of life. An archaic basic structure that fascinates for generations. The musical world success, based on the film, but expanded by a large number of new songs, led to an indescribable run on the coveted tickets. The additional compositions, which fit perfectly into the iconic film songs, have repeatedly radiated a fairytale magic since the premiere 20 years ago.
70 Contributors 70 performers, soloists, choir and orchestra, the Cinema Festival Symphonics under the direction of Stephen Ellery from London, already thrilled the audience with the concert performances of "Game of Thrones", "Star Wars" and "Harry Potter". The ensemble is known for its emotional, true-to-the-original, powerful sound, which immerses the audience directly in the film's themes.
This emotional experience is enriched by artfully drawn screen animations that take the viewer directly into the African savannah. Roaring lions, mighty elephants, playful leopards and, of course, the warthog Pumba and the meerkat Timon illustrate the eternal cycle of life in a colourful way.
