Janine Jansen Sparkling passion, dreamlike lightness and elegiac playing unite the Dutch violinist Janine Jansen like no other. For over 25 years, she has shaped the musical landscape with her profound, rousing nature, which is reflected in her high standards and her musical performances in a tangible, always authentic way. Every opportunity to see her shine on the Stradivarius is considered a great moment of virtuoso violin art.
In Munich, alongside works by Francesco Geminiani and Nino Rota , it brings Antonio Vivaldi's famous "Four Seasons" back to life. Jansen's recording on Decca Classics is considered a reference recording. In the Isarphilharmonie, too, the audience can expect innovative music-making, which nevertheless remains true to the masterpiece with its sophistication and richness of colour and melody. With the Camerata Salzburg , one of the world's leading chamber orchestras is at Jansen's side. Each musician is responsible for interpretation, volume, rhythm and musical subtleties – as central elements of the often praised Camerata sound.
The program: Concerto grosso
Baroque concerting and the concerto grosso from the perspective of modernism – these are the themes to which Janine Jansen and the Camerata Salzburg under the direction of Gregory Ahss dedicate their program.
Richard Dubugnon's Piccolo Concerto grosso, a contemporary interpretation of the Baroque form, stands next to an "original" written by Geminiani. Nino Rota's String Concerto then leads into the cinematic sound world of the great Italian classics of the 20th century, before Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" with its vivid images of life in the cycle of the year finally become the climax of this Janus-faced contemplation of the Baroque and the present.
