On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Raumpatrouille – The Fantastic Adventures of the Spaceship Orion , the cult series is experiencing a spectacular rebirth: The feature film version from 2003 was the first German sound film to be completely musically dubbed live. The legendary original music – newly arranged for big band – can be heard live in a concert.
A unique film concert experience is created from jazzy-galactic sound worlds, the iconic "Peter Thomas Sound" of the 1960s as well as modern pop, lounge and electro beats. This is made possible by an elaborate technical preparation in which music, dialogues and sounds were separated so that the musicians interpret the film music live to the image.
Raumpatrouille Orion – Rücksturz Ins Konzert is nostalgia, innovation and pure science fiction – a milestone in German film history and a real highlight of the film concert world.
