Program Info: A concert with goosebumps, recognition and pure enthusiasm – when the symphonic themes of the great heroes are brought to life by the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra with Jakob Stegelmann as narrator.
Because isn't that exactly the theme that the heroes have in common? No matter who they are, what planet they come from or what special powers they have – they will get nowhere without a good theme – and such a theme must be played by a large symphony orchestra if the hero is to have wind in his sails and deliver what it takes to defeat evil and villains.
Stegelmann is the great narrator of geek culture. Over the decades, he has opened the doors to the worlds that have shaped our imaginations – from sci-fi and adventure to games and movies. Together with the orchestra, he presents a number of iconic themes and epic soundscapes – it is symphonic power that meets the love of the fantastic. It is the big stories that are at the center. The music we grew up with. The moods that settled in the body.
The concert is also the first in a new series of concerts with film music, gathered under the common name Beyond the Screen , which offers unfiltered enjoyment of cinematic tones – without screens or other distractions.
