How will the famous themes from More Than Life at Stake, Vabank and The Pink Panther sound in brand-new arrangements? Who will receive the FMF Awards – including the 2025 Polish Soundtrack of the Year? We will find out the answers to these questions at the FMF Awards Gala!
Join us in the magnificent interiors of the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre for this award gala and discover the names of the winners of the prestigious FMF Awards. The enthralling musical setting will be provided by a big band led by Jan Stokłosa. They will also perform unforgettable hits by three legends of film music: Jerzy ‘Duduś’ Matuszkiewicz, Henryk Kuźniak and Henry Mancini.
Jerzy ‘Duduś’ Matuszkiewicz needs no introduction – his scores have become a staple of Polish television and cinema, from Wojna domowa and More Than Life at Stake (Stawka większa niż życie), through I Hate Mondays (Nie lubię poniedziałku), to Janosik and Czterdziestolatek. From the works of Henryk Kuźniak, who is celebrating his 90th birthday this year, we have selected Vabank. This retro score, which perfectly captures the atmosphere of Juliusz Machulski’s films, will be presented in a fresh new arrangement.
We will also revisit the golden age of swinging Hollywood with music by Henry Mancini – from the Academy Award-winning Moon River, through the iconic themes from Peter Gunn and The Pink Panther. We will also hear compositions by the acclaimed Polish composer Mikołaj Trzaska, the winner of the 2024 Polish Soundtrack of the Year Award.
During the ceremony, acclaimed composers, directors and actors will present the statuettes in five FMF Award categories. We have never seen anything like this before!
