Kian Soltani is one of the most innovative and creative artists on his instrument. His passion for films and their soundtracks has accompanied him since his childhood. On the album »Cello Unlimited«, which was awarded an »OPUS Klassik« in the category »Innovative Listening Experience«, the musician has dedicated himself to the big screen melodies and wants to »take the listener into emotional and epic worlds«. As if he were the main and supporting actor, director and film team in one person, Soltani recorded every role himself – sometimes up to 40 votes! In the Festival concert, cello colleagues provide the great orchestral sound. In addition to the famous melodies of well-known films, two of his own works inspired by cinema will also be heard. And where would this musical film firework fit better than in Dresden's cult film theatre Schauburg, built in the Roaring Twenties according to the plans of the architect Martin Pietzsch!
