Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague - Incheba Expo Arena
Program Info: The Incheba Expo Arena in Bratislava will host a unique musical event on November 13, 2026. It takes you to an endless fantasy world where characters from the most popular and famous computer games come to life.
Those who like to get lost in an alternate reality from time to time and have fallen in love with the color and diversity of the video game world should pay attention. The successful music project The Gaming Music Live, from the workshop of the world-famous Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague, is coming to the Slovak capital. This completely unique concert programme connects two seemingly different worlds: symphonic music and the fantastic realm behind the computer screen.
The magnificent sound of the symphony orchestra is further enhanced by members of the Bohemian Choir Prague . Together, under the direction of chief conductor Martin Šanda, they create an atmosphere in which the audience feels like they are in the middle of the action of their favorite play. And literally – the program also includes an original video projection, which takes the whole experience to the next level.
"A live performance of this specific music will transport visitors to the magical world of computer games. Together, we'll go through the history of game music, from Super Mario in Mortal Kombat to Final Fantasy in Duke Nukem , and the hits Uncharted 4 in The Witcher 3. This is 'the best of' the past few years," invites Martin Šanda, chief conductor of the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague. He is convinced that the large symphony orchestra with choir will offer game fans a unique and truly emotional experience.
What other cult titles can gaming fanatics look forward to? In addition to the titles already mentioned, the concert in Bratislava will feature songs from games such as Assassin's Creed , Battlefield 1942 , Max Payne , Halo 3 , Metal Gear Solid 2 , or melodies from the action-adventure game Dragon Age: Inquisition , whose creators have won numerous awards for their work.
Over the years, music for computer games has grown into a distinctive and increasingly sophisticated genre that no longer serves as just background music for an exciting story. "This music has to have its own quality, it has to be sophisticated and at the same time compelling. For example, unlike film music, listeners spend much longer on it while playing. It involves dozens of hours, in which they return to it for days and weeks. Very naturally, they develop an intense bond with the music," says Martin Šanda, founder of BSOP.
Proof that compositions for the game industry actually have artistic value is, among other things, the fact that world-famous composers are making their mark on this relatively young genre. For example, the music for Crysis 2 for example, composed by none other than Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer .
A renowned symphony orchestra, an excellent choir, dynamic projections and exceptionally immersive, emotional music - all this makes The Gaming Music Live an event that no video game fanatic should miss.
