Zlín Film Festival: Police Symphony Orchestra a Tomáš Klus s kapelou
Police Symphony Orchestra and Tomáš Klus and his band - Náměstí Míru
Program Info: Opening double concert of the Zlín Film Festival
The first festival evening of the 65th Zlín Film Festival will start with a double concert by the 150-member Police Symphony Orchestra and Tomáš Klus and his band.
We bring you this extraordinary experience in cooperation with the statutory city of Zlín.
The Police Symphony Orchestra is not just an ordinary symphonic ensemble. When it was founded in 2010 in a dilapidated monastery rehearsal room in Police nad Metují by the then fifteen-year-old Petra and her brother, they had no idea that their group of enthusiasts would one day fill Lucerna, resound the Rudolfinum or play the Grand Finale of Smetana's Litomyšl alongside the French singer ZAZ.
Today, the orchestra has over 150 members – musicians, singers and volunteers – and the repertoire includes everything from classical to film melodies to swing, pop and rock. Their concerts are not just about music – they are about emotions, stories and the sincere joy of creating together.
And that it works with Tomáš Klus? Absolutely! At several benefit concerts, they have already proven that they fit together musically and personally. In Zlín, they will not only perform together, but Tomáš Klus and his band will also play a separate part of the evening, full of original music, lyrics and an atmosphere that will capture your heart.
And if that's still not enough for you after this spectacular concert, you can move to the open-air cinema, where we will screen the documentary The Grand Finale of PSO – an inspiring story about how dreams turn into reality when you follow them with your heart.
