The DR Symphony Orchestra, the DR Concert Choir and guests set music to the decisive moments, the strongest achievements and the greatest heroes from the world of sport – both in reality and on the big screen. Host: Tina Müller. Everyone holds their breath and time stands still when the decisive moments take place at the biggest sporting events. But when victory is at home, the cheers break out – and so does the music!
Music and sport have always been closely linked, and the biggest sporting events have their own signature melodies that fill us with memories, anticipation and emotions.
This evening in the Concert Hall, we will be dazzled by the most magnificent and moving tones from the world of sport, from iconic Olympic fanfares and epic soundtracks to immortal hits and victory anthems.
Over 100 participating musicians and singers from the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Danish Radio Concert Choir are ready to fire up the all-time journey into the sports symphonic hall of fame with legendary tunes from, among others, Rocky, Chariots of Fire, the Olympics – and much more.
