Agent 007 – this classic and beloved movie character continues to fascinate. Although James Bond has changed shape over the years, there is one thing that has remained constant since the premiere of the very first film in 1962 – namely the music. Few films are as classically linked with their leitmotif as the James Bond catalogue.
We take this into account now when we invite you to the concert Beloved Spy. Welcome to an evening where we celebrate the most iconic James Bond theme songs over the years: Skyfall, Die Another Day, Thunderball, Diamonds are Forever, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, You Only Live Twice and many more.
With music from John Barry, Monty Norman, Adèle, Thomas Newman, David Arnold and others Johan Glans is the evening's host and as the James Bond nerd he is, he will guide us through the program. If there's anyone who knows which Bond song was almost banned, how many days it took to write the classic Bond theme or which Bond song is in minor, it's him. He is ready to share all his nerdy Bond expertise but also his comedic talent. The music is of course performed by the Malmö Symphony Orchestra under the direction of a charismatic conductor and with brilliant soloists on stage.
