Program Info: Famed Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi, renowned for scoring Hayao Miyazaki’s fantastical Studio Ghibli animations, conducts the world premiere of his Concerto for Orchestra—a new NSO commission!
The concert also features orchestrations of Hisaishi’s most memorable scores from Studio Ghibli’s Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, and the Academy Award–winning Spirited Away, performed by the NSO and conducted by Hisaishi himself.
