Harry Potter: A Symphonic Soundtrack
Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sergei Akimo - Kremlin Palace

Program Info:
On October 30, 2026, the State Kremlin Palace's Great Hall will host a performance by the Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Sergei Akimov, presenting the concert program "Harry Potter. Symphonic Soundtrack."

This evening, audiences will be immersed in an atmosphere of wonder and incredible adventure. The orchestra will perform the most recognizable melodies from the Harry Potter films.

It won't be just any orchestra taking the stage—it's a collective of young wizarding students from Hogwarts. The most talented students have been gathered from all four houses: violins from Gryffindor, violas and cellos from Slytherin, woodwinds from Hufflepuff, and brass and percussion from Ravenclaw.

The concert will feature readings from J.K. Rowling's books by a professional narrator, costumed performances, and a visual show. Dumbledore will greet all incoming wizards and magicians in the Kremlin Palace's Armorial Foyer, so don't forget to bring your house robes!

The international literary bestseller of the late 1990s, adapted into a film, still captivates hearts and captivates minds around the world. There's likely no one who hasn't watched a Harry Potter film, whether personally, with their children, or even with their grandchildren. The magical music of Oscar-winning John Williams has become a hallmark of the wizarding world of wizards and Muggles, villains and heroes, fairytale characters and fantastical creatures.

Sergei Akimov is one of Russia's outstanding young conductors. After graduating with honors from the Moscow Conservatory, he made a name for himself internationally as chief conductor of the RockestraLive orchestra and, of course, as a finalist in the Salzburg Conducting Competition (2018). He also conducted the Camerata Salzburg orchestra at the Salzburg Festival. He is also a conductor at the Moscow State Academic Operetta Theatre and the Studio for New Music. In 2017, Sergei participated in the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy. Since 2018, he has been a trainee conductor at the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia (Artistic Director: Vladimir Spivakov). In 2024, he won a prize at the XVI International Dimitri Mitropoulos Competition in Thessaloniki.
