The iconic soundtrack by Alan Menken Aladdin, released in 1992, won Academy Awards®, including Best Song ("A Whole New World") and Best Original Score. Composers Howard Ashman and Alan Menken collaborated on six songs for the film, including "Arabian Nights," "Friend Like Me," and "Prince Ali." After Ashman's death in 1991, Tim Rice wrote more songs for Aladdin, most notably "One Jump Ahead" and "A Whole New World."
