For years, video game music has been a hit on the world's biggest concert stages, and its spectacular performances attract crowds of fans eager to hear music from their favorite titles performed live. This time, thanks to the combined forces of the Con Amabile String Quartet, the Gorzów Wind Quintet, and Aleksandra Laska on percussion, this music will be performed on our small stage in an intimate setting. Thanks to Bartosz Baran and Paweł Gaca's original arrangements, the selected soundtracks will gain a new emotional impact while retaining their narrative depth. During the concert, we will be transported with the artists to a variety of virtual worlds – from classic games that have become an integral part of pop culture, such as Tetris, Super Mario Bros., and Mortal Kombat, to the fantastic universes of Blizzard games (Diablo and World of Warcraft), showcasing two sides of fantasy – one fairytale-like and full of adventure, the other dark and terrifying. There will also be music from the cult and still incredibly popular strategy game Heroes of Might and Magic III, as well as one of the best-selling Polish games about the adventures of Geralt of Rivia – The Witcher III. We will also hear soundtracks from games that tell a story about a world close to our own: Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and GTA: San Andreas, while music from the futuristic game MDK will transport us to the distant future.
This evening will be a journey to places where music and imagination meet in an epic adventure.
