The CineMusic Experience 25-26 - Special
CineMusic Orchestra - PHIL., Grote Zaal
Program Info: The CineMusic orchestra is back with a completely new show! The film orchestra takes you along with a sensational mix of classics and new blockbusters in your theatre. And that means the most beautiful film music, the best film scenes and the best anecdotes about the films, the composers and the directors.
This season, the concert show has a completely new repertoire. Dream away to the enchanting melodies of Yann Tiersen as Amélie wanders the romantic streets of Paris. Feel the tension in Band of Brothers as Major Winters (Damian Lewis) leads his men through the war, accompanied by the intense music of Michael Kamen. And feel the emotion of Hans Zimmer's music as Matthew McConaughey floats through space in Interstellar.
While the film orchestra plays, abridged versions of the films are shown on the big screen of cinema quality. The movie scenes are so accurately synchronised with the music that you are completely sucked into the story. This way you can experience 20 films in one evening.
In addition to Amélie, Interstellar and Band of Brothers, the brand new repertoire also includes music from Kung Fu Panda, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Shawshank Redemption, Tintin and a number of other wonderful surprises.
A regular face on stage is René Mioch. This experienced film journalist presents the evening and tells the best anecdotes about the films, the composers and the directors in between the musical pieces. With his rich experience, he gives you a unique look behind the scenes of these film classics.
Count on an evening full of goosebumps, excitement, a laugh and undoubtedly a lump in the throat. This is film music like you've never experienced it before. And that in the intimate setting of your theatre!
With music from John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Yann Tiersen, Elmer Bernstein, Ennio Morricone, Thomas Newman and others
