Join us again this summer on a musical space journey. After standing ovations for the first three Star Wars movies, it's now time for The Force Awakens . You will see the film on a big screen and the dazzling soundtrack will be played live by the Residentie Orkest. As in previous summers, Dirk Brossé is the conductor.
The Force Awakens. The sequel to Return of the Jedi is the seventh instalment in the Star Wars series: The Force Awakens . Some thirty years after Darth Vader and his Empire were eliminated, a new realm of darkness has risen: The First Order. Meanwhile, Luke Skywalker - the last hope for the universe - has mysteriously disappeared. The Force Awakens winks here and there to the original films (especially A New Hope ), but in terms of spectacle, humor, adventure - and yes: magic - it is not inferior. The star among the debutants is BB-8. The football droid not only reacts humorously, but is also really included in discussions and makes his own choices. Stormtrooper Finn, X-wing pilot Poe Dameron and Jedi fangirl Rey are also pleasantly refreshing with their new perspectives. In the words of Han Solo: 'Chewie, we're home.'
