The Sound of James Bond - Licenced to Thrill
Full orchestra, band, and two vocal soloists - Kölner Philharmonie
Program Info: The actors may change, but the car remains technically sophisticated, and the vodka martini is always shaken, not stirred. The numbers 007 stand for the world's longest-running and most successful film series and have defined British cool and cult status for over six decades. In 25 films, the infamous MI6 agent James Bond has managed to save humanity from the most menacing villains in the world's most exotic locations, while seducing the most exciting women along the way. Always accompanied by Miss Moneypenny, M and Q, and an inimitable sound that made music history. Leading the way is the legendary title track, a classic among music intros, always providing the perfect soundscape in a casino or during breathtaking stunts.
Film music greats such as John Barry, David Arnold, and Hans Zimmer are responsible for the soundtracks. The biggest music stars have contributed to the catalog of iconic Bond songs, including Shirley Bassey, Louis Armstrong, Nancy Sinatra, Tina Turner, Tom Jones, and Adele.
The Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Chuhei Iwasaki, vocal soloists and a band will perform the legendary soundtracks of "Goldfinger", "From Russia with Love", "Diamonds Are Forever", "Golden Eye", "Casino Royale", "Skyfall" and many more in the concert hall. Dietmar Wunder, the German voice of Daniel Craig, will host the evening. Time to put on the tuxedo...
