Program Info: Join Contemporary Youth Orchestra for an evening celebrating music written for your favorite fantasy films – Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, How to Train Your Dragon & Princess Mononoke. Each of these pieces was written to transport viewers to magical lands where brave characters overcome fear and danger to inspire us. Gregson-Williams, Shore, Hisaishi, and Powell are master storytellers through music. Their compositions add emotional depth to each story and heighten both the danger and excitement of the films.
