The combination of the mysterious thriller Donnie Darko and a contemporary music collective must result in a special performance. BL!NDMAN plays the music for the film in which main character Donnie ends up in a special adventure with time travel and a life-size rabbit. Enough inspiration for Eric Sleichim to compose a surprising soundtrack.

Sleichim is also the founder of BL!NDMAN, the collective that performs original music for the film with percussionists, saxophonists and electronics. In doing so, they enhance the atmosphere of the film, or as was stated in a review by Focus Knack: “The sultry saxophones add an exciting layer to the translation, making the film even more intense.”

“With BL!NDMAN I want to emphasise the different storylines in Donnie Darko without falling into the clichés of a traditional horror film accompaniment. The typical eighties songs (Duran Duran, Echo & the Bunnymen, Joy Division) are of course retained as such. It is an arsenal of instruments that will give the sound of the film a physical presence." - Eric Sleichim (BL!NDMAN)
