Program Info: Wibi Soerjadi is giving his 31st Christmas Gala this year and this time it will be the festive conclusion of his WIBI55 tour. Wibi's Christmas Gala is the longest-running tradition of a solo artist in this hall. Wibi will make a selection of highlights from his career and this year the concert will have an extra festive accent!
Wibi Soerjadi's last, completely sold out, Christmas Gala was a great success. The concert was rewarded with, among other things, a wonderful review by Peter Schlamilch of De Nieuwe Muze : 'Soerjadi knows how to create a unique musical 'coulisselandschap' that few can imitate: different layers from the score are almost visually placed on stage, separately observable and yet always in complete unity, like a magician enchanting his audience and keeping them partly in the dark about reality. The fans tore down the hall'. Wibi will play works by Chopin, Liszt, his own work and his own transcriptions of his favourite film music tonight.
