As immaterial as air and sky, and as necessary, music has always had affinities with the night, the stars, and the clouds. A celestial and poetic concert, for a family getaway !
Texts set to voice and magnified by a play of light invite us to a musical contemplation of the celestial vault. Majestic, poetic, stormy, ever-changing throughout the day, the sky has never ceased to inspire composers.
In line with programs aimed at awakening the public to the issues surrounding nature, this concert takes us into the infinite variety of skies and clouds. Dazzling lightning and thunderclaps, with the famous " Thunderstorm " from Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony , which terrified listeners in 1808 ; the infinite range of nuances in " Clouds Debussy's ", the first of three Nocturnes for orchestra inspired by the English painter Whistler; the incredible atmospheric realism of Honegger in his music for the film Mermoz (1942), which almost makes the listener believe that he himself is in a plane above the Atlantic or the Andes...
