Film music in concert
Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie conducted by Sander Teepen - Muziekgebouw, Hertog Jan Zaal

Program Info:
Experience the magic of film music in a breathtaking concert, performed by the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie under the direction of conductor Sander Teepen. This spectacular evening takes you on a musical journey through film history. When you hear the music, you can see the entire film again. Because who doesn't know the exciting and legendary sounds of Jaws (suite) by John Williams. Lord of the Rings wouldn't be the same without the music of Howard Shore and Mission Impossible wouldn't be nearly as exciting without the music of Lalo Schifrin.

The romance of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar also comes to life, as does the timeless charm of John Barry’s Out of Africa and the iconic James Bond medley. As icing on the cake, you will hear the heroic and adventurous themes from Pirates of the Caribbean and Gladiator by Hans Zimmer. And much more. With a grand ensemble of 65-70 musicians, the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie brings the most beautiful film music to life in a way that only a symphony orchestra can. Don’t miss it – an evening full of music that will let you experience the magic of the movies again!

On the repertoire:
John Williams – From Hook: The Flight to Neverland
John Williams – Jaws (suite)
