Bernard Herrmann wrote the music for seven Hitchcock films, with a focus on the psychological state of the characters. In Vertigo, the word “obsession” comes to mind. Then hear how Tchaikovsky captures the essence of Romeo and Juliet’s tragic love story without using a single word. And finally, Rachmaninoff’s cinematic Third Symphony.
