Program Info: Captivating melodies performed by an orchestra are a feast for the senses in themselves. When this is combined with an aesthetic and visual stimulus from forty enchanting musicians, an extraordinary concert evening awaits: Curtain up for the VENUS ORCHESTRA! The world's most beautiful orchestra presents timeless masterpieces from classical music, musicals, and film with charm, wit, and virtuosity.
Musical highlights such as the Overture to "Orpheus in the Underworld," the Intermezzo from "Cavalleria Rusticana," the Blue Danube Waltz, the Suite from "Carmen," Roxanne Tango from "Moulin Rouge," and music from "My Fair Lady," "West Side Story," and "Cinema Paradiso" are on the program. Amusing presentations and short scenic representations link the individual pieces into a captivating performance for all the senses. The VENUS ORCHESTRA is a feast for both the ears and the eyes: The charming musicians, changing costumes, and fascinating lighting choreography immerse the stage in a frenzy of sounds and colours.
The ensemble has garnered considerable media attention: "A special experience for the eyes and ears," declared the Wiesbadener Wochenblatt, and the Polish daily Express Ilustrowany praised "the masterful playing of the charming musicians." The ensemble has also already conquered the screen, including in Germany as part of the ARD music production "Straße der Lieder."
On a European tour with the legendary rock band YES, the artists contributed to a celebrated crossover project. For the program "Romanza," the VENUS ORCHESTRA, featuring star singer Helen Schneider, performed to enthusiastic audiences in prestigious venues such as Berlin's Friedrichstadtpalast and Munich's Prinzregententheater. The ladies are also attracting international attention. In addition to major tours through China, a notable highlight was certainly their performance at the Arab Women Organization Congress in Abu Dhabi—invited by Her Highness Sheikah Fatima Bint Mubarak herself.
