Program Info: Stewart Copeland , legendary founder and drummer of the Police , presents Police deranged for Orchestra, an orchestral work in which the iconic songs of the band who made the history of music was revisited as never before. With its vast experience as a composer in the operistic, orchestral and ballet field, Copeland proposes the hits of the Police in an unprecedented and overwhelming symphonic experience. In these concerts Copeland proposes a new perspective on classics such as "Roxanne", "Don't stand SO Close to Me" and "Message in A Bottle", flanked by an ensemble of talented musicians and an orchestra consisting of twenty -seven elements, on an evening full of energy in which he focuses on the epic ascent of his career in the musical field, to then unravel through four decades. The idea for this concert was born when Stewart Copeland started working on the soundtrack of a Police film . The needs of cinema required a different approach to music, leading to the need to rework these pop songs. Analyzing and breaking down the music of To adapt it to the scenes of the film, Copeland has found a new inspiration, transforming these tracks into a unique orchestral experience.
