Program Info:
This concert will have a unique form because the audience will be invited to a journey around the organ. During this evening, the listeners will have the only opportunity to see the organs from the inside, learn more about their construction, principle of operation, the variety of construction and sound of Piszczałek, and also find out how the organs are tuned.

As part of the concert, there will be songs from film music in the arrangement for organs, which will be an unusual opportunity to listen to interesting songs known from cinema or television. These will be songs from adventure and travel films. A pearl from classical music will also appear ...

Wacław Golonka is one of the most active and recognizable Polish concert organists. He is a graduate of the Music Academy in Krakow and Hochschule Fur Music und Darstellende Kulnst in Vienna - at that time he was a scholarship holder of the Austrian government. In addition to successes at organ competitions in Prague, Nuremberg or Pretoria, he can boast of vast concert experience on almost all continents. He performed in Australia, South Korea, South Africa, Namibia, the USA and almost all European countries. He performs with orchestras and chamber bands, presenting the music of all eras and styles. His radio and CD recordings made for the Czech radio are presented in the European Broadcasting Union Union. He also recorded for the Dutch Radio Hilversum, German Bayerischer Rundfunk, Austrian ORF, Radio Vatican, Radio Słowacki and Czech television. He is an animator of organ festivals and competitions. A special part of its activities is looking for the possibility of combining styles and fusion of musical. He is a laureate of many awards, including Fryderyk Awards in 2008, Awards of the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship in the field of culture (2020), Awards of the Catholic Publishers Association Feniks 2021 and the badges of the Honorary Minister of Culture and National Heritage "Distinguished for Polish Culture". He is a professor and works at the Music Academy K. Penderecki in Krakow.
