On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the first concert of Silesian Philharmonics, we invite you to a great spectacle - a great jubilee gala in Katowice Spodek.
At 18.00 we invite you to the concert of the Silesian Philharmonic - Silesian Chamber Orchestra, which will perform for you works by Wojciech Kilar enriched with industrial sounds and multimedia shows. We will hear the most famous film topics, including from Pan Tadeusz, the promised land, lepers, portrait of the lady, streaks of shadow, as well as from the salt of the Black Earth. Energetic Orawa, inspired by folk music - highlander rhythms and Podhale dances, will also sound. The great music of the world -famous composer, strongly associated with our region, with Katowice, but also with the Silesian Philharmonic, will merge with modern technologies and provide an unforgettable artistic experience.
The culmination of the evening will be a concert of the Silesian Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yaroslav Shemeta, which, together with the Silesian Philharmonic Choir and combined choirs from the Śląskie Voivodeship, will perform the VIII Symphony Es-Dur Gustav Mahler. This work, for the first time in Poland, will sound performed by 1000 artists!
