Essen Philharmonic Chamber orchestra - Philharmonie Essen
In the penultimate chamber concert of the season, musicians devote themselves to Erich Wolfgang Korngold's philharmonic. Known to the general public as a film music or opera composer, but Korngold dealt with all the genres and chamber music occupies an excellent place in his work. Chamber music works from different phases of life sound, from astonishingly complicated early work op. 1, to the dancing "stories of Strauß" for soloclavians, to vocal plants such as the "songs of farewell" or "Sonnett for Vienna". Not only is the entire colour pallet of the Korngold chamber music team expressed, but also a bit of the exciting life and work of the versatile composer is told in this chamber concert.
