Program Info: After his phenomenal performance during ADE 2023, Kensuke Ushio returns to Amsterdam, again joined by VJ Kazuki Wada, for a unique live set, inspired by Ushio's famous soundtrack for the anime blockbuster Chainsaw Man. This very first headline show in the Netherlands promises to be an immersive experience, with the world of Chainsaw Man recreated through Ushio's intense, glitchy beats and Wada's overwhelming projections of the series' most beautiful and bloodiest scenes.
Kensuke Ushio is a prominent soundtrack producer from Tokyo and has achieved worldwide recognition for his original scores in Japanese anime series and films such as 'Chainsaw Man,' 'A Silent Voice' and 'Devilman Crybaby.' With a background in piano and music studies, his discovery of electronic music at the age of 20 brought a pivotal turn in his career. After success in Berlin, he launched his alter-ego "Agraph" and quickly became a linchpin in the Japanese electronic scene. His intuitive sense of melody and programming skills have created some of today's most enchanting anime hit soundtracks.
