Program Info: Ah, the cinema: excitement, romance, thrills, surprise! From Star Wars (of course – after all, there’s a big hint in the title of this concert) to Schindler’s List, Chariots of Fire to Henry V, Jurassic Park to The Magnificent Seven. Tonight you’ll experience all the images and emotions conjured up by the best of film music. In a concert for adults and children alike, Ely Sinfonia brings you the magic of the silver screen. Back to the Future, Tron: Legacy and The Fellowship of the Ring are all in the programme – not to mention ET.
Ely Sinfonia Artistic Director Steve Bingham writes: “So much great music has been written for film over the last 50 years and more, and when we saw that our spring 2024 concert was going to be on ‘Star Wars day’ it was unthinkable for us not to mark this with a rich programme of film music from a range of composers and genres. This is definitely going to be a blockbuster of a concert!”
