Music from a Distant Planet
Lyngby-Taarbæk Symphony Orchestra - Tivoli

Program Info:
The Lyngby-Taarbæk Symphony Orchestra will in this performance take the audience on a space odyssey. Starting with excerpts from the popular film score of Star Wars (John Williams), the concert then moves to The Planets by British composer Gustav Holst, which takes us on an extra-terrestrial voyage among the seven planets of the solar system.

The orchestra is conducted by Marco Crispo, who trained in classical guitar at the Conservatorio di Musica in Messina and later studied composition at the Imola International Academy. In 2012, Marco began his conducting studies at the Accademia Musicale Pescarese, graduating three years later. He continued his conducting studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music, graduating in 2019. Most recently, Marco has attended the soloist class at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. Additionally, Marco has already conducted a wide range of professional orchestras in Denmark, Norway, and Italy.

The Lyngby-Taarbæk Symphony Orchestra is a vibrant and active amateur symphony orchestra with approximately 90 members aged between 20 and 85 years. The orchestra is renowned as one of the nation’s finest amateur orchestras.
