Lorraine University Symphony Orchestra - Zenith de Nancy
Program Info: For the first time since its creation, the University Symphony Orchestra of Lorraine (OSUL) took the challenge of performing at the Zénith de Nancy alongside the Austrian Chorkuma choir .
The project began thanks to two sisters who were passionate about music. One is a violinist at OSUL and ...student in Nancy , the other is a soprano in the Chorkuma choir and travel organizer and lives in Tyrol .
Created in 1995, OSUL today has the chance to perform all over Lorraine. Made up of around 80 members, the orchestra opens its doors to as many people as possible and welcomes new musicians aged 18 to 30 from different educational and cultural backgrounds each year, thus allowing the creation of varied projects.
Chorkuma is an Austrian choir active since 2014 which is made up of 80 members mainly from the student environment and passionate about singing. Their vocal mastery allows them to interpret pieces of different registers ranging from classical to hard rock, including pop and film scores.
On April 27, these two groups will come together to present to you the fruit of a beautiful and enriching Franco-Austrian cooperation. Embark in an eclectic musical universe based on instruments and voices mixing tunes by Queen, Bizet, Christopher Tin, Sia and Game of Thrones and let yourself be carried away by the energy of 130 young musicians and singers!
