Program Info: We are repeating last year's great success with a film music concert in the venerable and historic Chat Noir!
We promise a reunion with magnificent film music, both old classics and newer hits that have in common that they have become audience favourites. As conductor, we have Nick Davies with us, who many will recognise as the conductor at the Nobel Peace Prize concerts in Oslo Spektrum together with the Broadcasting Orchestra.
Nick Davies studied at the Royal College of Music in London and began his conducting career in London's fabled West End with a wide range of musical productions. He made his symphonic debut in 1991 with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and has since conducted symphony orchestras in Sydney, Hong Kong, Beijing and New York to name a few. He has worked for 10 years at the Gothenburg Opera and has also conducted the Classic BRIT Awards. Davies has conducted the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra a number of times. He has given several concerts with KORK, and was the regular conductor for the Nobel Peace Prize concerts in Oslo from 2007. Davies has been a guest of several of the defence corps, including the Armed Forces Staff Music Corps and the Air Force Music Corps.
