Italian coffee is cult for world star Jonas Kaufmann - and an art to which the tenor devotes himself with just as much perfection, skill and passion as anything else he tackles artistically. Since his debut at the Metropolitan Opera New York in 2006, he has belonged to the Olympus of classical music. Kaufmann is just as much in demand in the Italian and French repertoire as in German. In the meantime, the native of Munich has chosen the music and Mozart city of Salzburg as the center of his life, where he recently made his debut as Tannhäuser at the Easter Festival. But Kaufmann has also appeared in a documentary film and several times on the big screen, including "An Evening with Puccini" or live broadcasts from the MET.
