Get ready for a blast of an Oscar party, where the sound of the best Hollywood movies of all time fills the concert hall - with 150 singers and musicians on stage, well-prepared hosts and a real Oscar atmosphere.
You know the sight of the golden Oscar statuette and the stars striding up the red carpet for the film world's biggest gala – bathed in flash lights, bubbles and admiration. And you know the sound of the big Hollywood movies, where epic stories and gripping dramas unfold to the sound of a large symphony orchestra.
This summer evening you have the chance to experience both when DR Koncerthuset invites you to the Oscar gala in the Concert Hall.
The DR Symphony Orchestra takes you on a musical journey through the biggest Oscar films, from true classics like Casablanca to monumental works of film like Godfather and iconic blockbusters like Forrest Gump – blockbusters with music that have deserved their very own place in film history. And the evening's host Maria Månson and soloists throw extra star sprinkles over the famous soundtracks, which for almost a century have made us shudder, melt and cry in the dark of the cinema.
