Reyk­javík Big Band - Henry Mancini 100 years old

The Reykjavik Big Band plays the Silfurberg hall at Harpa, concert house on Sunday April 21. With this concerts the band pays tribute to Henry Mancini, one of the most famous and beloved film composers. He would have reached his 100th birthday on April 16th. Mancini is the composer of well known songs such as Pink Panther theme, Moon River, Peter Gunn, The Days of Wine and Roses, Baby Elephant Walk and Charade. Sigríður Thorlacius and Páll Óskar Hjálmtýsson guest singers. Samúel Jón Samúelsson conducts a program of arrangements made specially for this production.
