An additional performance of the highly popular Vantaa Entertainment Orchestra's Myrskyluoto Maija movie concert!
The tragic love story set in the barren outer archipelago comes to life when the film Myrskyluoto's Maija, which premieres in January, is shown on the big screens of the Musiikkitalo in its entirety, accompanied by the large symphony orchestra ensemble of the Vantaa Entertainment Orchestra.
The novelty film, which contains great emotions and a lot of love, was directed by Tiina Lymi and is based on the Myrskyluoto book series by author Anni Blomqvist. The lead roles in this film, set in an outer archipelago and full of emotions, are played by Swedish actors Amanda Jansson and Linus Troedsson. The film is produced by Solar Films.
A film concert (in English Cine Concert or Film Concert) is a concert form that has found a solid foothold in the world. The Vantaa Entertainment Orchestra has also performed film concerts in the past, e.g. From the movies Harry Potter, Star Wars, Snowman and Metsä tarina. Now we are looking forward to a new domestic film, of which we have also managed to produce a concert version. The film concert does not compete with the film shown in the cinema, but two different versions of the story are now available, both of which are worth experiencing.
The music for the new Myrskyluoto Maija movie was composed by Lauri Porra. The iconic theme song composed by Lasse MÃ¥rtenson from the 1976 Myrskyluoto Maija television series will also be heard at the concert.
The duration of the film is 2 h 43 min, without intermission.
