Arnold’s credits include scoring five James Bond films, as well as Independence Day (1996), Godzilla (1998), and the television series Little Britain, Sherlock, and Good Omens. Casino Royale is an adaptation of Ian Fleming's very first James Bond novel, published in 1953. This adaptation stayed closer to the original plot of the book compared to previous Bond films, which often took more creative liberties.
